Who Needs This

When Did You Last
Physically Verify
Your Asset Register?

Most organisations can't answer that question. Their register is out of date, inaccurate, and a liability when the auditor arrives.

🏫
Schools & Academies
You have hundreds of assets across multiple classrooms β€” IT equipment, furniture, AV kit, specialist tools. The DfE requires annual fixed asset verification and your register needs to stand up to scrutiny.
"Our asset register was last properly verified four years ago and I know it's wrong."
🏒
Offices & Corporates
Annual accounts require accurate fixed asset schedules. Your finance team needs evidence of what exists, where it is, and what it's worth. We provide that evidence β€” physically, on-site.
"We moved offices two years ago and nobody updated the asset register. The auditors flagged it."
πŸ₯
Care Homes & NHS
CQC inspections, NHS procurement requirements and charity accounts all require accurate asset records. Equipment registers that are incomplete or unverified create real compliance risk.
"We have three floors of equipment and nobody's sure what's on the register and what isn't."

What's the difference between asset tagging and a fixed asset audit?
An asset audit verifies what exists β€” we physically check and record every item. Asset tagging adds a QR-coded label to each item so future audits are faster and more reliable. We do both in the same visit. The result is a verified register with every item traceable to its physical location.
We already have an asset register β€” can you verify it?
Yes β€” and it's often quicker than starting from scratch. We take your existing register, verify every item on-site, add anything that's missing, mark disposals, and update locations. Most organisations find their existing register is 15–30% inaccurate. We'll tell you honestly what we find.
What information goes on each asset record?
Standard fields: asset ID, description, category, make/model, serial number, location (building, floor, room), purchase date, cost, net book value, depreciation method, condition rating, and next review date. We can add custom fields for your specific requirements β€” just tell us what your accountant or auditor needs.
How does it work for schools specifically?
Schools and academies have specific requirements under the Academies Accounts Direction and the DfE's financial handbook. We're familiar with these requirements and produce registers formatted to support your annual accounts and ESFA audit. We can work around the school day to minimise disruption.
Can you handle multiple sites?
Yes β€” multi-site clients get consistent tagging standards, consistent register formats and consistent asset IDs across all locations. Ideal for academy trusts, housing associations and corporate clients with multiple offices. Portfolio pricing available.
What happens to the tags when assets are replaced?
The old tag is removed with the disposed asset and marked as disposed in the register. New assets get fresh tags when acquired. We supply replacement tag packs so your team can tag new items between our visits. Annual revisits keep the register current.
